Your Possessions Are Safe with SERVPRO

A piece of furniture is wrapped in plastic and is labeled with a QR-code If you've suffered a disaster at your home, SERVPRO will clean and care for your possessions securely and professionally.

Suffering a fire, smoke, water, sewage or storm disaster leaves you feeling so vulnerable, as both your home and your clothing, furniture and other treasured possessions may have been damaged or destroyed. SERVPRO of Glastonbury/Wethersfield not only handles every aspect of restoring your home, we also treat your possessions with the utmost care.

Earlier in 2019, SERVPRO® rolled out a new digital inventory system that tracks your possessions while we clean and store them and repair your home. We know at a glance the location of your items as well as their status: being cleaned or in storage.

A Secure Process, End to End

SERVPRO cares for 100% of your possessions. The process starts at your home, where our project manager evaluates each item to determine the necessary treatment. While you watch, we photograph each item, then secure your furniture in blankets and fragile items in bubble wrap. Then we wrap everything in plastic, label it with your name and unique QR-code. Smaller personal items are boxed, photographed, sealed and labeled.

Once all is packed, you review and sign off on a tracking form that lists all the items with photos. Further on in the process, this list can form the basis of your insurance claim. We then load your wrapped possessions into storage containers or vaults (also labeled and QR-coded) and transport everything to our storage and operations facility in Bloomfield. Constructed in 2015, it is one of the largest SERVPRO warehouses in the nation.

With a scan, SERVPRO staff can immediately tell if a particular item needs cleaning, is being or has been cleaned (and when) or is waiting in a secure storage container. We entrust certain items, like smoke-damaged clothing, or unique possessions, like pianos or pool tables, to our network of reliable specialty cleaners. When a homeowner needs to retrieve items before the restoration is completed—documents for insurance claims or the contents of a kitchen, for example—we can quickly locate the items in our inventory system.

An Unbroken Chain of Custody

Once all items have been returned to your home, you review and sign off on the original tracking form to ensure that all your items are present, clean and in good condition. Thanks to our proven procedures and bolstered by our digital inventory system, we ensure an unbroken chain of custody while your possessions are in our care.

When your home and possessions have been damaged by a wind, water or fire event, nothing is more important than restoring everything “Like it never even happened.” Depend on SERVPRO of Glastonbury/Wethersfield to care for your possessions with the highest security and care!
