It started out simply enough: Ted and Doris Isaacson opened a painting business in Sacramento, California in 1967, which became SERVPRO. The company grew over the years, eventually becoming a franchisor of cleanup and restoration specialists. By the mid-1980s, the Isaacsons had grown their business to almost 650 franchises, and by 2000, they oversaw 1,000 franchises.
